Final Fantasy Versus XIII is quickly suffering from Duke Nukem ForNever syndrome with its constant announcements of no-shows at big gaming conventions. Let’s just hope that it doesn’t suffer an ignominious fate as Duke Nukem Forever though. For those wondering, Versus XIII was officially announced in 2006. Since then, we’ve seen the release of unforgettable classics such as Mario Hoops 3-0n-3, Project Slypheed, Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, Concerto Gate, Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, Yosumin DS, Sigma Harmonics, Infinite Undiscovery, Snoopy DS: Let’s Go Meet Snoopy and His Friends, Pingu’s Wonderful Carnival, The Last Remnant, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, and Lord of Arcana! Thank goodness Square Enix decided to create these great games first instead of working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
On the bright side, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Type-0, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts 3D will be playable at TGS. This means that those four games are going to be released before Versus XIII.
