I just wanted to share with you guys the mellifluous, musical talent of Dark Sugar (don’t know her real name):
In news that should surprise no one, Square Enix has formally stated that Kingdom Hearts 3D will see an international release in 2012. This is due to the fact that the game will be released on Japanese shores in March of 2012. Thus, it’s quite logical to expect an international release sometime in 2012. Stay tuned for more specific news regarding KH 3D!
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be the first Final Fantasy to sport DLC. I’ll let you guys decide whether you feel that’s a good or bad thing. Their first DLC pack includes alternate outfits for Noel and Serah, a bikini outfit for Serah, and two Coliseum bosses: Lightning and Omega Weapon.
Square Enix has posted up the Kingdom Hearts 3D trailer from Jump Festa. It’s interesting to see that the entire cast from The World Ends with You is in the game. The whole game is laden with cameos from characters from all of the Kingdom Hearts games. Along with Hunchback of Notre Dame and Pinocchio worlds, the trailer features a Three Musketeers and Tron: Legacy world. Now enough talk! Enjoy this 8 minute trailer in all its resplendent glory:
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is already out in Japan. For those of us still waiting, we can watch this trailer which details the features of XIII-2:
With a little under two months, we shall be seeing a release of Final Fantasy XIII-2 on European shores. Japan, however, will be able to satiate their Final Fantasy hunger on December 15. Here’s one of the Japanese commercials that has begun airing:
The Japanese version of XIII-2 features Mai Fukui singing “Yakusoku No Basho.”
The international version of XIII-2 regales us with Charice’s “New World.”
Square Enix has been hard at work at developing new IP’s. They are utilizing the production department of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy series to create an action RPG that will appear on both the PS3 and Vita. This project is not to be confused with Square Enix’s medieval action RPG. It does not look as if Square Enix themselves are hiring people for this job; it may be an external contractor. The game does look like it will have an air ship and towns.
In news that should surprise no one, Type-0 is finally undergoing the localization process so that we international fans can finally get our grubby, little hands on this handheld gem. My personal prediction is that we’ll be seeing a March release date. Type-0 director, Hajima Tabata, admits to wanting to create a sequel for Type-0, but would rather work on a console title. The possibility of a sequel for Type-0 is fairly high, considering that the titles Type-2 and Type-3 have already been trademarked by Squeenix much earlier in the year.
