Plot - 9/10 The story and plot development of FFVII is excellent, from blasting Mako
Reactors, to finding the key to an ancient city. The main character is Cloud, an EX-SOLDIER who now works for AVALANCHE.
The leader of the terrorist group is Barret who came to Midgar after his
Hometwon was destroyed. Along the journey you also meet Tifa, a girl Cloud
knew as a child. Tifa runs a bar in Sector 7 of Midgar, which also doubles
as the HQ for AVALANCHE, Jessie, Wedge and Biggs who are also in AVALANCHE,
Aeris, a flower girl in Sector 5 Slums, Red XIII, an 'experiment' at the
Shin-Ra HQ, Cait Sith, a Mog that was magically brought to life, Cid,
a Pilot, Sephiroth, the mysterious EX-SOLDIER and a whole cast of others!
AVALANCHE is trying to stop the evil corporation; Shin-Ra, from destroying
the planet with 'Mako Reactors' that are taking the life force from the
planet and selling it to the world for millions! Obviously this means
trouble, and you have to stop them! As the plot unravels many problems
arise, including the love triangle between Cloud, Tifa and Aeris, the
mysterious Sephiroth, Shin-Ra and the Black Materia... Graphics - 6/10 Although this game has been heavily criticised for the in-game graphics,
it was an amazing breakthrough for only 1997!But unfortunately I'm still only giving it a 6...
The backgrounds, movies and battle graphics are perfect, you notice something
new everytime you see them, they're even 3D! But I think the in-game
character graphics kind of let it down.

 Music - 8/10
The music is fantastic, it goes perfectly with every scene. Songs like
Cid's Theme will stay in your head forever! Some may even make you laugh or cry, like Aeris's Theme, (cry) and the
        Gold Saucer music (laugh).
A big fat 8 for Nobuo Uematsu!

 Battle System - 8/10
The battles are great, with the new Materia system allowing you to greatly
customise your battle style. Weapons, Armor and Accessories will help you on your way to victory!
The Active Time Based system, keeps the battles lively and exciting, in
conjunction with taking turns, so you can't cheat!
Spells and many Summons also keep the battle entertaining.

 Gameplay - 8/10

The Gameplay is amazing! You could play it for 99:99 hours and still not
        get that damn Omnislash!
The whole game is very long, what with the three Discs and hours of secrets
        and sidequests to complete!
And as for replaying, you'll probably play over 5 seperate games and still
        want to play more!
 Difficulty - 7/10
FFVII is not incredibly difficult. The Materia/Battle system may confuse
beginner RPGer's, but once you get the hang of it, it's quite simple.
However due to difficult final bosses and frustrating sidequests, we have
given it quite a high 7.

 Overall - 9/10

Overall a nice large 9, for one fantastic game! Keep it up Square!
